About me
Jaime is a freelance developer and founder of Digital Passenger with 12+ years of experience in writing back-end and front-end code on numerous projects, working on different development stacks in small or large sized teams. He is a well-trained, highly competent web professional and extremely passionate for websites and web application development. Over the last 10 years he has focused on delivering high-end WordPress solutions while working at two different agencies (Level Level & Hoppinger in Rotterdam).
As a freelancer he has worked with small business owners in helping them establish their online presence. He built their websites within their price range and consulted them on a variety of topics, ranging from SEO to page speed optimization and hosting architecture. As a software consultant he has aided a number of clients in becoming more efficient and saving money by improving their internal business processes.
He codes with an eye for quality user experience and interaction, and enjoys making creative decisions. He has excellent communicative skills and always aims to deliver top-quality products which helps his clients grow their business. When writing code his emphasis is on using best practices to develop high quality software that meets project requirements, budget, and schedule. The practices range from continuous deployment, to accessible (WCAG) front-end code and maintainable code.

Projects that I am most proud of:
Agency projects
Developing a high converting camping listing site built on WordPress and seeing the business grow from an underdog to a top performing competitor. I worked on campingfrankrijk.eu (Reiscompany) while employed at both Hoppinger and Level Level. Currently Reiscompany and I started collaborating on developing and enhancing this platform even further.
While working a Level Level I lead projects to build a future for the world through numerous large NGO’s, like cordaid.org and somo.nl focusing on customer retention and converting visitors to donations. I also have lead projects ranging from a large financial news platform Financial Focus for ABN AMRO to a full rebuild for the Dutch team of online New Scientist magazine to help both organisations reach their audience and online goals more intentionally (KPI’s).
Freelance projects
Currrently I’m collaborating with Reiscompany to push the Reiscompany platform even further with sites like campingspotter.nl.
I was hired by Level Level to develop both back-end and front-end code for Samen werken aan pleegzorg. I collaborated with the designer of Level Level and the client to get new functionality from concept to practial and modern solutions.
Breekjaar.nl – Breekjaar was in search for a new online partner to optimize, maintain and add new functionality to their website. I analyzed their website, proposed a extended plan to meet their wishes. The site has already become 50% faster and their biggest roadblock are gone. Not to forget that the site now is safely being back-upped every day.
